Train the Trainer, a new NOAC training session, was very popular with all who attended. The session was led by Nathan Rosenberg, an Arrowman who happens to be a professional trainer, and his staff. They focused specifically on training and skills for making presentations. |
Ammon, from Shunkah Maneetu Lodge #407 said "Something in this session caught my interest and kept me listening". He was not alone, each of the participants felt that they left the session with something special. Each participant departed the session with new techniques to use in presentations.
Carey Mignerey, the 2000 National Chief, was a speaker for the new Lodge Adviser Training session. He focused specifically on the importance of a solid Adviser-Youth relationship in the Order of the Arrow. "Can't and But are four letter words", says Carey, speaking on the importance of a positive supportive Adviser attitude.
"This is an excellent program", commented Carey, "It reminds us of the importance of a youth/adult relationship, after all, it is the glue that holds the Order of the Arrow together."
Over a 100 sessions helped Arrowmen learn ways to improve their lodge operations, better support their council and improve their own leadership skills.
Ben, from Nacha-Mawat Lodge #373 says "The Training this year has been very interesting and I can't wait to put it to use back in my home Lodge!" |
