Greetings! Welcome to the 2000 National Order of the Arrow Conference, here at the University of Tennessee. This is indeed a special year, as we celebrate the 85th anniversary of our Order's founding. Noting this, we all have a unique challenge at this conference-to rekindle the spirit of the Order in all programs, activities, and events so that we may better serve our brothers. |

Like our Order, this conference offers extremely diverse and rich opportunities for both the participants and staff. However, this opportunity must be acted upon. I certainly hope that you will make every effort to attend every possible program, wake-up for every breakfast and meet everyone you can. Most importantly, be open to the impact that this conference will have on your activity in the order of Scouting. On Thursday, when you leave the university, take the enthusiasm and knowledge of this conference back to your lodge and unit. Whether this is your first or 15th national conference, I am sure that this will be a truly memorable experience. The planning committee and staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that this NOAC will be an especially positive one. So, go forth and find out for yourself what it means to be Bound in Brotherhood, Led by the Spirit. Carey J. Mignerey |
