At the beginning of the conference, National Chief Carey Mignerey told us to be led by the spirit. The NOAC shows certainly have helped Arrowmen realize that when they follow that spirit, they gain a better understanding of life and the OA. From the history show to last night's theme show, audiences were captivated by the stories and sounds of the OA and the memories that will stay in Arrowmen's minds forever.

| With a special needs Scout as the star, the stage was set for an emotional show that opened the eyes of all in attendance. Lance, portrayed by Tyler Gray, was on a campout on Cape Lookout National Seashore with three other Scouts from his lodge. They were on the campout so Jack, played by Mac Wadlington, could gather information for a documentary he was filming on a long lost sword. |

Lance was befriended only by his friend and fellow Arrowmen Jack. Lance was alienated from the group and he felt like he was an outcast. Even the lodge chief made comments wishing that they could pick who they wanted in the OA, because Lance was not who they wanted. |
A parody of the "Blair Witch Project" makes an appearance, as the group travels in a dark tunnel in search of answers about the sword. The drama unfolds as Lance has a vision. There, in a lightning storm, Lance realizes that they are searching for the sword, like they seek the arrow in the Ordeal ceremony.
"Searching for the sword is like looking for the arrow in the ordeal," said Lance. Lance wants to play the part of Meteu in the Ordeal ceremony, but his peers do not think he can do it. By the end of the night, he proves them wrong, by reciting the part
with great feeling.
