Jim Cheatham is the 2000 Southern Region Chief. He is a Vigil Honor member of Ittawamba Lodge #235 of the West Tennessee Council. He is an Eagle Scout as well as a Founders' Award recipient.

Cheatham has served on his council camp’s staff both as the Scoutcraft director and first-year camper director. He served as Section Chief for Section 6-N for three terms, and also served as lodge chief and lodge vice chief.

Cheatham is enrolled here at the University of Tennessee and is majoring in Civil Engineering. His hobbies include hiking, cooking and backpacking. After college, he hopes to complete an internship to become a certified engineer.

Cheatham feels that the, “Spirit of the OA is the link that we must pass to lead us to our future.”
