Star-Search

NOAC 2002's Star-Search Competition was held in Fine Arts 015 on Monday afternoon. This event was formerly called the Lip-Sync Competition, but Arrowman lip-syncs Mr. Roboto by Styx was extended this year to be called the Star-Search Competition. Whereas the former Lip-Sync Competition was only for lip-syncing, this year's event includes lip-syncing along with live performances and exotic talents.

Lip-Sync Competition

The Lip-Sync Competition is when you have an Arrowman or Arrowmen moving their lips to match a song or other recording as they compete against each other. Unami Lodge #1 entered with Baby got Back by Sir Mix Alot, with a guy in a turtle shell lip-syncing. The Arrowman to the left entered with his version of Mr. Roboto by Styx.

Live Performance Competition

The Live Performance Competition consisted of vocal and/or musical talent. Atta Kulla Kulla Lodge, #185, sung a rendition of Beauty School Dropout, from Grease. As a reason why they sung this song, they replied, "So we could dress Greg up in Capri pants."

Exotic Talents

The Exotic Talents competition is for all other talents, that are not included in the above two competitions, this included some silent dramatics.

Exotic Finalists

Overall the Star-Search was a great success and a lot of fun for participants and spectators.  The overall winner from each category will perform on stage during Founders Day. Don't miss it!
