The Camping Promotions Extravaganza was held Tuesday from 1 pm to 5 pm in Assembly Hall. Lodges from all across the country gathered their resources and set up displays promoting their local council Scout camps. Every lodge had the chance to show how they promote their local camp and to learn how to better promote their camps through sharing with others.
The displays had everything from videos to flyers. There were maps of camps to animal charts to computer screens and even pictures of the mountains in Utah. If you were looking for a Scout camp to attend next year, you would have hit the jackpot. Most displays centered around Boy Scout summer camp but there were a few displays with Cub Scout Resident Camp information.
Whether Arrowmen stopped by for their troop or just for themselves, it was worth the trip. By visiting the Camp Promotions Extravaganza, Arrowmen also fulfilled one of the requirements for the NOAC Participation Award.
