NOAC 2006 Conference Staff Application Process
-
All youth and adult Arrowmen interested in serving on the 2006 NOAC Staff may
apply on line at the NOAC Registration Area on the Order of the Arrow Website:
www.oa-bsa.org after January 2, 2006. (All 2004 NOAC staff members will
receive an invitation to apply via e-mail asking them to register via the NOAC
Registration Area.)
-
Applicants will be asked to enter a detailed description of their
qualifications in the conference area in which they have specific interest.
Signatures of the council Scout executive and lodge adviser are required, after
printing the completed Staff Application from the OA Website. The deadline for
submitting a NOAC Support Staff Application to the national office for Lead
Adviser and OA Director approval is March 31, 2006.
-
Once an applicant's paperwork is received in the national office, the
appropriate lead adviser will review the qualifications and either approve or
not approve the applicant. If not approved by the lead adviser, the applicant
will be placed in a staff pool for consideration by all conference lead
advisers.
All applications approved by the lead adviser must receive final approval by the Director of the Order of the Arrow, and an e-mail will be sent notifying them of their status.
If approved, the lead adviser will specify an approved arrival date and a Notice of Staff Assignment/Registration Form will be sent to the applicant electronically, with instructions on how to obtain their notice of staff assignment. By signing the form, the applicant acknowledges that they have read and will abide by the conference code of conduct and statement of understanding. The Notice of Staff Assignment and conference fee of $345.00 are due by May 31, 2006 and should be mailed to the national OA office:
Order of the Arrow

- Those applicants not selected to serve on the conference staff will be electronically notified that a position was not available. Those notifications will be sent after all staff positions are filled or by May 1, 2006, whichever occurs first. Applicants will be able to check the status of their application and fee by going to the NOAC Registration Area, click on Staff, at the OA Website: www.oa-bsa.org.
A specially designed 2006 NOAC promotion patch will be mailed to staff members when their conference fee is received in the national office. Staff members are encouraged to wear the patch to help promote the conference. A conference patch will also be sold at NOAC.
