The Order of the Arrow along with Hoosier Hill Food Banks hosted a NOAC food drive during registration at NOAC. With about seven thousand Arrowmen attending this year's NOAC, The Activities and Recreation Committee or ARC's goal is to collect seven thousand cans of food. With lodges arriving to the conference on Saturday, ARC collected the donations outside of Assembly Hall. With each food donation, an Arrowman gets to take a swing a car with a sledgehammer as their prize.
The Hoosier Hill Food Bank collects food and distributes food to over 80 different non-profit organizations in and around the Bloomington, Indiana area. They have had over two million pounds of food move through their warehouse in 2007, and over twenty two million pounds have moved through since they started in 1982. The food drive is just one way the Order of the Arrow provides cheerful service to others while at NOAC.
