One of the Order's most succesful service programs in recent years has been the Order of the Arrow Trail Crew (OATC). An OATC Reunion of past crew members was held at the 1998 NOAC in the Memorial Union on the ISU campus.
Present were 1998 OATC Co-Directors Todd Turner and David Stowe, as well as 1997 Director Ryan Miske and a number of former participants. The directors noted that the impact of the OATC program at Philmont has been great. "OATC was the hallmark experience of my life," said Turner. Miske agreed that the program was something very special.
David Petrush, 1998 National Vice Chief and participant in OATC this summer, said that "OATC is a life changing experience."
Dean of Tatanka Lodge #488 in Pasadena, California, also said that "it was a really unique experience. I encourage anyone who can to go."
Jonathon of Nacha-Mawat Lodge #373 in Kalamazoo, Michigan summed up his experience with only four words: "It was just fun." |
