Megan Weber.jpg (38679 bytes)...these words describe the character of Megan Weber, Miss Teenage America for 1998.  A vivacious 17 year old from Zanesville, Ohio, Megan has traveled the world, excelled in scholastics, held numerous offices in school, and worked hard to achieve her goals.
Megan has walked the Great Wall of China, toured Paris and London, visited the Coliseum in Rome, and been given a private tour of the White House, followed by a visit with Hilary Rodham Clinton. The next great adventure will be attending school at Antioch College this fall. Her interests include theater, politics, law, and quantum physics. Among her varied activities, she has volunteered nearly 600 hours with the Red Cross, spent time with the Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Drama Club, and French Club. She also has been involved with the  Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Junior Class President, Key Club, SADD, Spanish Club, and the Zanesville Community Theater.
Megan is a 3.5 scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, National Science Award winner, Who’s Who in American High School Students, FBLA State Leadership Conferences 1996-1998, and U.S. Achievement Academy All American Scholar.
She insists that being Miss Teenage America is not winning a pageant – it is winning a scholarship program. The contest is based on travel, community involvement, volunteer work, essay writing, and many of the other aspects in her life.
Just another pretty face?  Hardly!!! She is also a student of Shorin Ryu (Karate), a pilot in training, and a terrific young lady who cares about the world around her and the people who occupy it.
NOAC and the greatest Scouts in the World welcome Megan Weber to Iowa State University!
