STAFF WELCOME LETTER
Dear Brother,
Thank you for making the commitment to be a part of such a robust event for our Order. Over the course of our conference, you play a key role in helping the Order of the Arrow take its next steps toward a new century – one of even greater success than that of our last 100 years. Without you, NEXT: A New Century would not be possible.
While at Indiana University, we will be utilizing many of the campus resources to provide a unique experience for our delegates. They will embark upon a journey that will open their minds to a much different approach on how to identify problems, develop solutions, and execute plans. Significant growth will occur for each delegate. This should transform their thinking, and empower them to lead our Order towards unprecedented growth.
Our conference committee has planned a great program that will facilitate this development of our delegates and Order through several different programmatic approaches. Each day will provide a different approach to compliment that growth process. From the dress code to the gatherings, there will be a learning opportunity around every corner. With every action we take, training that is facilitated, or event that is conducted, we will be utilizing the thought process behind it to help maintain a consistent image of innovation and openmindedness. This is a central point of the structure for the event.
You might be asking, what exactly does this mean for you? It is quite simple. Whether you are a crew guide, trainer, support staff member, etc., it is up to you to set the example and lead the charge in the positive and openminded atmosphere that we must convey during our time together. It is our duty to provide the highest quality event possible to our delegates, and there is a reason why you are a part of the staff. We have the utmost confidence in your ability to make this happen.
We cannot express how excited we are to have you as a part of the NEXT team. Each of you has a crucial role as we assist the current and up-and-coming leaders of the Order of the Arrow to foster new ideas and improve old ones. It is sure to be an exciting experience for all of us!
