Fresh Mindset, Fresh Ideas: Innovation Day Tomorrow

Light bulbs will illuminate in the heads of many delegates as great ideas are ignited and fostered during Innovation Day tomorrow. Building on past experience and fresh mindsets ready to shape the future, the focus of the day will be rounding up these ideas into cohesive practices that will shape the future of the Order of the Arrow.

According to NEXT Innovation Conference Vice Chief Tyler Harris, the goal for the day is to explore a fresh approach to problem solving that allows for those attending to fulfill their creative potential. “Every attendee will be able to bring their ideas to a central location to develop their thoughts and implement unique solutions back home,” said Harris. Barriers will be broken to develop future lodge programs. There is a diverse set of untapped energy in this organization. Innovation Day will get these delegates fired up about the importance of creativity and imagination that will be the stepping stones to a successful future for their lodges.

This program will not simply be a lecture, but a hands on approach through high energy modules and other learning experiences. Excitement and energy will not be absent from the program. An interactive, thought-provoking environment will be in place to introduce delegates to the signature innovation strategy and LeaderX. Both concepts will facilitate discussion and in turn challenge the way we look at the program of the Order of the Arrow. Together, as one body focused on the future, plans for future progress will be laid out. The time spent on Innovation Day will organize the thoughts of delegates and help them to reimagine the way that we look at the future of Scouting’s National Honor Society.

Innovation Day is only the beginning of a great future laid out for the Order. “It will give attendees a set of new eyes,” explained Harris, “to look ahead.” The beginning of a great journey to build better lodge based programs begins tomorrow.
