Activities: Membership Day
With no gathering for Monday night, you may be wondering what there will be to do all evening! Worry no more, as the NEXT staff have a number of great activities planned! Be sure to check out these activities:
Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag: This game of capture the flag continues into the night! Players will start during the day, and as the sun sets, teams will get different colored glow sticks and glow bracelets to continue playing in the dark. We will take all players, so bring all of your friends and make this game legendary!
In typical fashion, there will be two teams, and the field will be divided in half. Each team has a flag, and the objective is to capture the other team’s flag and return it safely to your team’s side. Players must start on their own side of the field, and they must stay at least 5 yards from their flag while it is not captured. When an opponent crosses into your team’s half of the field, defending players may tag him and send him to jail. Once a player is in jail, he must remain there until rescued by a teammate. In order to rescue a teammate, you must tag him while he is in jail, and he must return to his team’s side of the field before going after the flag. Players who have been rescued may return to their side of the field safely, but the rescuer is still able to be captured. Players must stay within the boundaries, and excessive pushing and tagging is forbidden. Finally, once the sun sets, you must wear your glow stick and glow bracelets at all times.
Float-In Movie: Tomorrow night will be a float-in movie, which will take place at the Royer Indoor Pool from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. We will be showing the Oscar-winning film Inception tomorrow night. It will be hot tomorrow, so take this chance to cool off after a long day. Grab a swimsuit, dive on in, and enjoy a classic film with your fellow Arrowmen!
