Thank you for signing up for the National Order of the Arrow Conference, one of the premier events in Scouting. Through shows, training, and other activities, conference delegates will be introduced to the conference theme: Step up, Step Forward! As a delegate, there are many ways you can do this, and here is an excellent way to employ the theme yourself.
A key part of the NOAC experience is training. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, conference participants engage in training cells all across Michigan State University’s beautiful campus. Training sessions range from Native American traditions to leadership development to lodge best practices, and more.
As a delegate, you can have the unique opportunity to Step Up, and Step Forward and facilitate training while also participating in the conference. As a “delegate” trainer, you will work with the conference training committee to prepare and execute a training session each morning. After facilitating your session, you will go enjoy all the great activities and fellowship taking place throughout the rest of the day, culminating in the evening show. Being a trainer as a delegate allows you to experience the best aspects of the conference, getting to share your knowledge with your fellow Arrowmen while still getting to experience activities in the afternoon.
Are you interested in this opportunity? Contact the conference vice chief of training, Greg Brown at noactraining@oa-bsa.org.
