Drop by Adventure Central, NOACs hub for activities, STEM, and outdoor programs. Arrowmen can expect to drop in to activities like human foosball, archery, and skateboarding. You can also get an inside look at Blue Origin’s Shepard Space Capsule, play a game of drone soccer, and step into the Expo.
“Adventure Central offers the higher level activities that take place on and off campus at NOAC,” explained Matthew Caldwell, onsite activities chief at Adventure Central. “I’m incredibly excited to see Blue Origin’s Space Capsule, which will be on campus Monday through Wednesday of NOAC.”
NOAC Science Fair is also being hosted in the Adventure Central area and the winner will receive an all expenses paid trip to watch a Blue Origin New Shepard Crew Capsule launch in the near future! Any youth NOAC delegate who wants to enter can bring their display to the STEM Area at Adventure Central in the Williams Village Dining & Community Center from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday or Tuesday. More information can be found at this link.
While Adventure Central is taking on the responsibility of STEM programming, many of its walk-up programs also try to stay true to the outdoor scene that Arrowmen have come to expect. Caldwell shared that the location had a huge impact on the types of programs offered.
“We’re in Boulder, Colorado this year,” Caldwell said, “so it’s a bit more of an outdoorsy scene.”
Overall, the Adventure Central programming will help Arrowmen elevate their NOAC experience through iconic opportunities not available elsewhere.
“It’s going to be a great week in Boulder,” Caldwell said. “I can’t wait to see everyone there!”
