Welcome to NOAC 2024! Just two years ago, we were in your shoes, beginning NOAC full of excitement and curiosity about the week to come.
Now, as we gather at the University of Colorado Boulder, whether in person or as remote delegates, we are filled with that same energy. A lot of work has been put forth by countless Arrowmen to make this next week of your lives an unforgettable experience.
Our theme is Seek New Heights, which is fitting for not only the high elevation of Boulder, Colorado, but also the high aspirations we all hold for ourselves, our lodges, and the Order of the Arrow. Living up to such a high bar creates an opportunity for all of us to contribute to filling this conference with cheerful memories for both ourselves and others around us.
From our experience, we know that to get the most out of NOAC, you need to take a few steps outside of your comfort zone. There may be people in your lodge contingent you do not know, so introduce yourself! As you explore the campus, take full advantage of Ascent, the conference wide game, which will help you form the bonds of brotherhood with your fellow Arrowmen at NOAC. As you earn points towards the Ascent game, learn the names of the people in your training class instead of just using your phone to scan wristbands as you walk out of the room. Imagine how insane the group chat will be next month with people from five different time zones still talking about how you scaled the challenge wall or did the expert-level BMX trick on the first day.
For our remote delegates, make sure you fully engage with our innovative virtual platform, the first of its kind at NOAC. You should take time to get to know your fellow remote delegates and make sure to snack on some of the beef jerky and chips we sent you while watching the evening shows. We hope to connect you to this experience here at CU Boulder as much as we can and we can’t wait to hear about how you’re making this experience your own.
As your national chief and national vice chief, our days will be full as we attend as many events as possible and try to meet every Arrowman on campus. We’ll be sure to keep our Instagram profiles up to date with the places we’re at and some fun memories from each. As you Seek New Heights this week, we’d love to see your experience! No matter how you got here, what you do here, or how many people you meet here, we are thrilled to see you here at NOAC 2024. Together we will be able to make this event the highlight of a lifetime.
