The Amazing Race

By: Andre Giacalone

Arrowmen, are you looking for a fun challenge? The Activities and Recreation Committee (ARC) has an adventure for you: The Amazing Race. The race will begin at the Munn Field Ice Rink at 1:00 and contains eight stations around campus. The race will run until 5:00 p.m. The average time for the race is 3 1/2 hours and the fastest time so far is two hours, 57 minutes.

The stations all include some type of fun activity such as stacking golf balls, shooting rubber bands, and even eating ice cream. This event is a great way to have fun and cool off while at the conference. Lots of teams have participated: 25 teams on Tuesday, 53 on Wednesday and more than 30 have registered for Thursday.

ARC is here to provide activities for this year’s NOAC so be sure to find your way over there and make the most out of NOAC, so get out and have some fun! Test your abilities and skills, enjoy the great outdoors and be active. Just remember a Scout is physically strong and mentally awake!
