Stay Hydrated

With temperatures predicted to be in the 80’s all week, active Arrowmen need to stay hydrated. Carry a water bottle, and remember to drink several bottles of water between each meal. Water bottles may not be brought into dining halls, but water refill stations are available outside of each dining hall. At meals, drink plenty of water – not just soda, juice, or sports drinks – and eat several servings of fresh fruit. Drink enough water to keep your urine a light, clear yellow color. Early signs of dehydration can include headache, dry mouth, thirst, light-headedness, and fatigue. Avoid dehydration by staying properly hydrated.

You will be active at NOAC – walking, playing sports, dancing, and many other activities that can distract you from recognizing how your body is feeling. Even though you may not be exerting lots of effort all day, you can still be losing water. So avoid the headaches and exhausting, and have a great NOAC experience by staying hydrated!

Where am I? Info Booths help point the way!

Imagine this: You are on your way to your first training session, and you’re late! You forgot your campus map, and now you don’t remember exactly where the room is. Nothing looks familiar, so what do you do?

NOAC has a solution! There are six Information Booths set up across the campus. Information Booths have training schedules and locations, housing assignments, information on recreational activities, schedule changes, Michigan State University information, directions to campus facilities, information about Lansing and the area surrounding the campus, and more. Additionally, each booth has Internet access and complimentary ice water.

The Information Booths will be operating from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day of the conference, and are staffed by friendly volunteers. Refer to your Conference Guide for Information Booth locations.

Take advantage of the Information Booths to make your 2012 NOAC experience all the more enjoyable. Each Information Booth will answer your question or get you to the staff that can answer that question.
